...nothing is good against lasers except military grade paint that looks shitty. Laser is LIGHT... flat black will decrease it's effective range some though. Chrome will increase the effective range of a laser gun.

If you get a ticket do this:

1. Wait for arraignment ... takes ~2-3 months
2. Ask judge for trial by written declaration instead of setting a court date (he has to agree) ... gives you 30 days to submit
3. Wait for trial by written declaration results ... takes ~2-3 months
4. If found guilty, submit a trial de novo ... takes another ~2-6 months
5. If cop doesn't show, you win. If he does, have your arguement well planned.

You still have to pay the bail, but this will extend your final court date by over a year from the ticket date. The officer will probably mess up somewhere along this process, or forget the incident alltogether by the time the court date arrives. I've beat 2 serious tickets this way.

thats usefull

I just fought a ticket this same way. It seems complicated from the on-looker, but it really wasn't. You just need to be diligent about paying the bail on time initially, then requesting and submitting the trial by declaration IN TIME. I was issued the ticket last November, and just had my Trial de Novo (court case) last month, so it bought me 9 months and I'm still waiting for a result from my trial.

When I was at court, my cop was 15 minutes late, so I almost won on the spot. A woman there had a ticket for 100mph + and her cop didn't show. The judge was stern about her infraction, but had no choice but to let her go. If my case was first (alphabetical order, I'm an S), I would have been gone by the time the cop showed up.
