Default Calaveras Night Touge (Video Inside)

I finally went and made a video... it's just a rough draft so bear with me:
<object width="853" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MxKPY2z9UB0&hl=en_US&fs=1&hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MxKPY2z9UB0&hl=en_US&fs=1&hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="853" height="505"></embed></object>

I need a better computer to edit the footage though... I can hardly even play 1080p without it skipping, let alone edit it. Anyone in SJ got a computer I could borrow for the day to do some editing with?

PS... yes the camera fell at like 40mph lol. I went back to find it in the middle of the road still filming hahaha...

Final Cut Pro or Sony Vegas choose your poison. i like them both also don't really need to push 1080P man 720P works fine 1080P if you running like on a flat screen hd 1080P super baller tv other than that youtube sh*ts doesnt need to runned that high

Vid of the Def Sik, J_STATUS, A.D.D.icts cruise n bbq to stinson (roof riding on my car)

I'm playing with Sony Vegas right now, it's just so shitty to work on this Toshiba laptop. I can't even run Adobe Premiere... I'll do what you say and lower the resolution to 720p @ 30fps... 1080p is just not workable with my equipment. I'm wondering though do you think 720p @30fps will be good enough or should I do 720p @ 60fps for higher speed driving?

Multi-cam editing is complicated

30 is pretty standard 60 is better you dont catch jumping at times and plus at 60 its a lot more smoother that movie i linked here all the roof shots are 30FPS

K ya might as well shoot 60fps then.

BTW, I ran into an acquaintance, and he mentioned your name. I guess you & I both know Ronald Meyers. Met him randomly at Ranch 99 Rice Plaza in Milpitas haha

Any tips on eliminating wind noise? The GoPro HD videos on the manufacture website are going equally as fast as me, or faster, and they have virtually no audible wind noise. I don't get it? Howcome I get such horrible wind noise at like 30mph....?

first off did you just run it straight out of the box without configuring? cause if the mic setting is on Hi then yeah its gonna have terrible wind noise, 2nd is the waterproof gasket there? if not itll increase wind noise, 3rd my only suggestion is to put like some cotton over the mic to cut it down, the go pros like mine dont have great wind noise reduction

I configured it to start up on video mode and in mode 3, 720p... but I see nowhere in the instructions on how to adjust the microphone level. I read about this mythical microphone high and low settings online, but don't see that option in the camera LCD menu. How do I adjust it?

The waterproof gasket is there.

^ That Salmon Falls run is famous for those type of turns.

The driver in the story used to show up at our Sac AutoX events sometimes with his SR20 s13. Haven't see him since the incident tho.

Sucks, that's why I only run night time though. I'm not going to lie and say it's perfectly safe, but it's mostly desolate late at night... with the occasional car parked on the side of the road with the windows fogged up... hahahaha

Do whatcha gotta do. I certainly understand the thrill of it as 1am at Salmon falls used to be one of my favorite hobbies. I just kinda went into retired status after I almost hit a deer on the otherside of a hairpin ... and then the *incident* (see sacbee) happened not too long after. Guess it just really hit home to me.
