I couldn't make it Sunday since it was the same day as Wekfest. I was looking at the NorCalUFO calendar and it looks like the next one I can make is the May 2 autox. So far away!

I'll be at the MINI event on Saturday though.. took the morning session at 9.

Well maybe we'll see you then!

I run on Sunday afternoon. I received my confirmation, and responded to the email inquiring about if they'll allow a passenger or not. If I don't get a response, will you update after your run on Saturday?

Doesn't look like you can take a passenger along. There's always someone from the event in car with you. Might be better to have the passenger sign up though. Looks like they were taking people who didn't pre-register.

Edit: I take that back. Passenger just got in th back seat.

Cool! So how was it? Did you get just one run, or more? Was it timed or just for overall fun? I'm scheduled to drive tomorrow afternoon, but if it's a 3hr wait for one untimed run, I'll likely bail.

Untimed. It was fun for me.. I went super early, arriving around 9 and was able to get 8 runs in the auto and 1 in the MT by noon. Each time you're out in the auto, you get 2 laps. I think the most I waited to get in the car was maybe 35-45minutes.

You do have to pay for the VIP thing ($20) to get to drive the MT and to do repeats over and over again. Think you get 1 repeat session after filling out the survey if you're just going for free. I found you get more time with the auto by the end of the session since the lines dwindle down as opposed to waiting for the manuals.

Not having driven a Mini before, it was quite a surprise.

Cool, thanks for the info, I'll probably bail then, as I don't plan to pay and am not going to go for two runs in an auto (I had a Cooper S before). If you're interested in autoxing the G at all, let me know. My next event is next Sunday.

Not a problem.

NorCal UFO right? If I can get my car back in time I'll be there. I'm supposed to pick it up that morning though so I'm not holding my breath.

Yessir, Norcalufo @ Marina. I run in the first run group and work the second. If you don't care about keeping points for the year, you could run "out of class" and in my run group. Next time I cycle to the late afternoon.
