NorCal UFO Autox Series at Marina Airport
Posted a blog post about the event, along with a link to photos I took. http://www.project350z.com/Articles/...o-and-pho.aspx
Speaking of, what's the latest with your injuries and all the legal stuff? Did you drive or just ride along?
Thanks for the nice blog write-up; I'm glad you had a good time! I got there a little after 1:30 since I was working/driving in 5/6. It's amazing how people are so different with their cars. Your best time was your first run, my best time - my last run - was over 6s faster than my first run. Cold V710s did have something to do with that I'm sure.
The results will be posted on the norcalufo website soon, but last I saw TToD was a 52.9x or so. They also do post the "paper results" on the camper after each run group for one to filter through and see how they stacked up.

Thanks for the ride today Scott. I was with you on run 3 today. I really appreciate the ride-along...I've been jonesin' badly for some racing since my car's been in the shop the last 2 events. Nice to meet you.
I'll post up a few pics later this afternoon when I get a break from work, I got some of the white Z in round one and then both the white and blue from the 3rd.

No problem! Glad you enjoyed it - hope your car gets done soon!
Rut-roh for STX. 245 sized tires max on 8" wheels. Maybe STU?
EDIT: I just read this: http://www.scca.com/documents/Solo_R...solo_rules.pdf on pg 81 and it shows STX can run 265 tires and 9" max.
Let's duel!
What class will you run in next year? I was thinking of changing out of OSP.

so STR would be 255 tires on 9" max wheels. I sold my set of 9" wheels, so I can't even consider adjusting to run in that class.
SSM = SM2; I think I could run in there also provided I put a panel where the gutted doors are. It looks like we could compete with the other SM2 car(s), maybe because there aren't that many of them.
In the DC region the SM2 cars out pace the XP cars.....I might just run XP here next year (regional level only). I am only about 3 seconds of the lead FFR cobras in XP anyway (me on R888's...them on A6's). The DC region doesn't seem to put much effort into prepared cars....none even bother to run real hoosiers (true slicks)....most just run A6's. I figure I can get another 150lbs out of the car and with A6's, real LSD, and stiffer springs I could pick up the 3 seconds without much trouble.
Edit....STR is very competitive here though. The 350z can't stay on the pace of the s2k CR's and MX-5's. I was only a half second in front of the s2k's at last weekends event, and the MX-5's were actually a half second quicker than me....

Yes. AAS has one at Great America Saturday and Sunday. I'll probably make it to the Saturday one.. still unsure on the Sunday one. Next Sunday SCCA has one at Great America as well.
