[Sacramento]: 1st Friday Car Show @ The Fountains (7/1/2011
Good seeing you too buddy! It was good, seemed to get hotter as the night went on though lol. Car turnout seemed to be the same as last year but way more spectators which is cool. Lots of damn fingerprints on my car from people/kids touching it
Next showing will be lollicup in 22 days!

Show went well .. except for the interlopers who crashed the party LOL ..
Thanks for all your help.

Next showing will be lollicup in 22 days!I think we had more Zs/G's this year and maybe 1-2 less NSX's .. but turnout was pretty good. Seems traffic was the main cause for alot of the delays.
Yeah, lots of fingerprints to deal with ..
I"ll be posting up pics later .. I was too beat to do anything with them last night ..

Excellant show Alan, great job organizing this and keeping everyone informed as the showed neared.
I think as word gets out we will see more cars in future years from other area's to mix up the car model and mods. I was really impressed with the 240Z' you pulled in from the Bay Area. I can see the signup list getting longer and the scrutiny on who is choosen to show will be more competitive in the years to come.
T.V. coverage would have been a giant plug....oh snap who needs T.V. coverage when we have uTube....idea for next year is to have someone video tape/edit and upload.....something flashy with a professional editing feel with a buzz.
As you can see I had a great time this year, the show was much better centralized on the backside where all the food and to top it off we had a D.J. right next to our row of Z's. This change in location was a boost. Sooooo many people there this year I had trouble finding my way back to my car with the sea of people.
On another sour note....the party crashers - a few muscle cars, a VW Van and a VW Dune Buggy. The security officer who we spoke to near the end said he did not see those cars come through...that was bull, because the D.J. announced the muscle cars coming in, tell me none of the security officers did not hear that....right..it should be mentioned to the centers mangement to put up next year something bigger than little cones to keep party crashers out...like the riot barricade stuff would work. Ok enough of the sour note.
I took a few pics, mostly washed out, but will try to get them posted soon.
Great job Alan!

As for the event crashers .. I will express my concerns to managment.
And most likely as you said .. I'm thinking that I may get more interest next year and may have to get "selective" on who actually gets in ..
It was cool to meet you,'the other Jermy', and Alan as well. Even saw Curtis taking pictures for a second. We had a blast. And I think you're right now, after looking at the pictures. I could lose an inch or two.
Alan - amazing event. I was confused at first when I arrived to the Pre-staging area to see everyone leaving at 5:00 but was glad to see that you had it all under control at staging. Thanks again the Jeremy for helping Alan!
Was the black roadster with the dil$o shifter 5150's???? That car was ill. Wish I could have found that lip in the states.
As for the VW crew, I thought it was funny. We had some empty spaces on the NSX side they took but they had some clean rides. To call them muscle cars was lollzy. Sounded almost like an inside job. They probably just snuck in to get the free sandwiches that were laid out for the car club/us. Hahaha

Spi-dee, there were muscle cars, a camero and two other cars. You may not have seen them because they came for dinner and left within an hour.
They -the muscle car group probably felt shafted because their day at the fountains - June event was canceled due to RAIN.
I wish you had found me and introduced yourself, been nice to put a face to your s/n and avatar.
The black Rdstr belonged to Kazerman (or something like that), I think he signed up for a run of mine last year and did not show....is he related to you...haha.

I head from the Marketing people at The Fountains.
First and foremost thank you for putting together an awesome arrangement of cars. Heard lots of comments on the other end on how nice the cars were.
Look forward to the next event.
So don't be too surprised to see me starting up a thread like this next year!
As for the muscle cars and VWs ..
It was brought up with The Fountains mgmt. Basically those cars shouldn't have been allowed into our show.
Mis-communication (I'll leave it at that) and it shouldn't occur again. The Fountains security should have removed them.
As for the June show that got cancelled .. it was with the Townsmen group .. cars that were pre-75 classic cars.
Anyway .. lessons learned. I'll know what to do next year to prevent (or minimize the possibility) of it happening again.
