2011 Wekfest-EPIC fail
Hey Alvin .. yes inqui-Z-tor is me (Alan). And NO, I'm not affiliated with Wekfest or Weksos or any of those groups. Did I give that impression somehow? Maybe because I posted about the event?? I guess that would do it. I just posted about Wekfest because I heard about it .. and figured the members here would be interested.
All the pics I've been posting? From various other forums .. since I didn't go, I googled to get other perspectives .. most of the feedback is the same (very crowded venue) ...

Hey Alan, it's another Google miracle! Yes I thought you were with the show with all of the registration updates/car staging, etc. you posted. I still owe you a Z31 replica, I have not forgot about you
So, did I miss the thread with good pictures of participating Z/G owners rides? I seriously did not get to appreciate them
There was a very clean black 350 with Volk GTS wheels and BBK, again I couldn't admire it because I was being pushed by Bone Thugs left and right.
Wekfest touted "daily driven track terrors", was this Z one of them? Don't recall seeing it at any Norcal tracks.
Also there was no info on "teams" in the battle? What constitutes a "team"?

Hey... the spirit was there, the people were a plenty, jusy gotta cotrol the flat-landers from putting their greasy fingers all over the place. Saw 1 attempting to be sly and taking off a line feeder. Bubba shoulda been there to break this slob's hand and protecting the people who were serious and showing off their stuff.
Maybe next year, with lessons learned & applied, perhaps it won't seem as crazy. there was a great turnout, just gotta control the creeps and thieves who want only to demock these great events!

The only pics I got of Z's/G's were of the Sac Group roll-out on Saturday ..
As for the teams .. the only one's I know about is via those posting on the forums that they are part of teams. I don't go to enough of these "high modified cars" show to be able to recoginize any of them. My Z certainly isn't "up to their standards" to be a part of any team (LOL .. at least not yet)

The 240Z was a "booth car" at the Drive Culture/Photo Shoot My Car booth.
The owner is also a ZONC member .. his Z has won at before at ZONC's Blackhawk Event too.
I'm not sure of the groupings/categories at WEKFEST.
