Decided to do a new thread about active sactown members since the old one hasnt been updated and to get rid of all the confusion. Was wondering if any active sacramento members want to do a cruise on ***Saturday, March 12
arrival at 11:00am*** there will be other cars besides Z's so if you have any friends with Imports or muscle invite them too. More info on the cruise:

Meet at Cinedome Theatres
Location: 6233 Garfield Avenue
Arrival: 10:30am
Departure: 11:00am

...We're going to roll to auburn on 80, to exit 119C to Elm Ave.

Roll through auburn, to CA-193/CA-49, which merges into old-forest hill road, and then finally into forest hill road.

Forest hill is a small town, with not a whole lot there, but the drive is fun, with lots of picture opportunities. We will stop for lunch @ the pizza factory in FH. ( http://foresthill.pizzafactory.com/ )

From there, we can head beyond forest hill and take pictures with/play in the snow (roads clear). Then head back down forest hill road to CA-49 and take that into placerville, where we will connect with 50. From there we can part our seperate ways, or continue our photoshoot into the Greater Sacramento area.

2 ways are required to be in each vehicle.
Please take as many pictures as you can so we have a very extensive option/coverage of this.
A short video will be put together from this cruz, anyone with any sort of recording device, please take footage.

 

ha youll probably see me in auburn since ill be there and depending on my schedule i might get in on this... a word of caution though: 49 and 193 have become HEAVILY supervised due to drifters and the deaths of a couple friends of mine on 49 last year, so if its a little more spirited rather than cruising be careful.... i havent driven either in a long time now so i am only going by what i have seen at either ends and what i have heard from some of the drifters i know...

 

Damn I have been waiting for this kind of trip!!!! The 12th is my woman's birthday though. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU

 

Sounds like it'd be a fun run, but I think we're going on the Contra Costa run that day.

 

maybe post-pone it a week so that it doesnt conflict with another run? might get some more people to go..

Well its alright if you cant make it, theres gonna be already at least 20 cars there, just inviting extra people, i wish i could post-pone is but I am just one of the guys joining in the cruise.

Wish it was a little later this month as well. Car will be at the body shop for another 2 weeks!

I agree about it being monthy/bi-monthy, I will try to talk to them and see what they think, hope as many people from here can make it so we can all talk and meet each other

Is this event still on or has it been rescheduled due to conflicting with ZONC's event? I do want to come and go on a cruise with you guys, but with gas prices at $4 a gallon...I don't really want to take my Z out as much as last year.

 

the gas prices are going to be a HUGE deterrent... it is supposed to be over around 5 during summer... and for some of us starving college students that might mean not driving at all or actually starving...

 

Yar. This is the one area I really do want to cruise though. Maybe another one in May before gas gets crazy nuts but the sun is in full force? For those of us with no roof that is....

 

Be worth a trip over the hill for a May run. Weather's usually good and warm in May and the top can stay down!

 

This meet is still going on and is happing this saturday on the 12th, Sorry if a few of you cant make it, but if you can you should attend wont regret it, there will be video footage and pictures, overall should be a fun cruise. hope to see you there!
