Default Driver side widow stuck

It was acting up for the past few days and finally got stuck last night when I was at a taco bell drive thru. Luckily it wasn't raining at the time but looks like I'm going to have to get the motor replaced since the window isn't going up. Anyone got good connections besides the stealership? Thanks

I had problems with my 03, haven't had problems with the 04 though.

If I recall correctly, fixing it was pretty easy if you're willing to dig into the door a bit.

What do I have to do? Mine is a 08 and the warranty just ended a few weeks ago. I should've taken it in while I had the chance.

I don't think it's the weather. This appears to be a common problem in Zs from what I hear.

I am pretty sure I pulled the motor out of my 03 and cleaned the motor with a rag, there was a lot of metal shavings and such in there. After that it worked fine.

any autoparts place will have the motor and they offer lifetime warranty.

Wouldn't surprise me. I had to have the driver's side in my 08 replaced a few months ago, luckily under warranty still. After that I noticed the passenger side was much slower than the new driver's side motor to roll down.

Common problem on Zs, motor took a crap... and it's not cheap.

replacing it is easy if you have a socket set, philips/flat head screwdriver, and tape. i'm sure there's a "how-to" somewhere on the internet.

if you're too cheap, you can also just pull the window up with your hands like i did for a few months hahaha

Mine is an 08 and it was giving the classic signs that it was going to fail soon. Mine isn't covered either, and screw the extended warranty for not covering this

Im going to try cleaning mine first and see if that works.

I banged on the window panel a few times and guess what? It went right back up! LoL.

Give it a try. It's a good temporary fix.

I've noticed my passenger window has gotten slower too. Shame on Nissan for using low quality window motors.

I've been beating on my driver side door for months now lol.. I think it is prettttttttttttty close to being completely done now, took me like 10 mins of beating to get it to go back up. Usually its a Fonzi hit once or twice and there it goes.

I'm not looking forward to replace it..... as I was dumb and in a rush when I sound deadened the doors... I did it over all the bolts I need to get to. FML

haha wow. my 03 driver side window was doing the same thing and i would have to actually open and slam my door while holding the window button for it to open or close. drive thrus and bridge tolls were embarrassing. anyways, i had mine done by chris (carters automotive, bobs automotive) in berkeley. new window motor, no problem.
