In terms of Santana Row, there's actually a lot of parking if you go up to the 2nd or 3rd levels up behind Straits Cafe and Gucci. Further down, there's parking underground and 2nd level behind Left Bank. On the other side, there's actually a good old fashioned parking lot.

If you go to the very end of santana row when driving ddown the main strip there is also a rather large parking lot.

Where's zuddenly? He should get in on this. He doesn't live very far from me, and I'm less than a mile from Santana Row.

man, does that mean I really have to wash my car then?... ok, just checked and weekends are blocked off for group reservation. So what does this mean? We'll hit the spot and try to get them to accomadate all of us... without reservation....
I'm sure not everyone will want to go on the tour right and just hangout?
Without reservation, I think we can go there, buy tickets for the specific time, then go down to Santa Cruz for lunch, then come back. After that we'll have a choice to go back down to SC and up hwy9 or just head back on hwy17.

So we meet at Santana Row at 11:00 then. I'll update the first page with the actual time and location. Anyone have the actual address of the free parking lot? I would prefer that we do not park in the parking structure since the bottom floors are always crowded and people drive all crazy in those park lots. An open parking lot is probably better...

Dave,
Don't tell me that you haven't washed your car since the track day. Come meet me at my work on Friday and I'll wash your car for you
Anyway, hope to see you all there. I'm still waiting for my car to get back from the body shop.

Chad

There is a pretty large open lot in the very back. If you were to start driving on the main strip and went all the way to the end, that is where the lot is. I have no specific addy for the lot though. Also, I have no idea how crowded the lot usually is around that time. Perhaps I can drive by tomorrow then and check it out. But then again were talking about a saturday... Could be compleatly diff.

Oh yeah, Saturdays and Thursdays there's a Farmer's Market. But that's not usually until summer.

Dave, which parking structure do you usually have problems with? I think the main one behind Left Bank is a little too rushed for me, but the one behind Straits Cafe is usually fairly docile. In any case, it shouldn't be hard for us all to find some sort of accomodation, and then line up somewhere for the drive out.

Same here mgl... not sure where this Santana Row thing is, although I've heard the name plenty of times. I'm coming from the EB, so I guess I'll be venturing into this one alone.

Gung Hay Fat Choy to you too Brian, and all my fellow Bay Area Chinese/Asian brothers and sisters.

If you want we could meet up in Union Landing in Union City and drive down.

Michelle, after I meet up with Brian, we could meet up in Mountain View and drive down too, or you could probably hook-up with Dave. I think Dave is around Great America Area. Check with Dave.

For non-South Bay folks, here are easy directions to Santana Row:

Coming from 880:
- Get off at Stevens Creek, just before 280. You can only make a right turn here.
- Make a left at the third light, toward Crate & Barrel. If you hit Winchester, you've gone too far.

Coming from 280 south-bound:
- Get off at Winchester, and stay in the 2nd offramp lane from the left.
- Make a left onto the road (Moorpark), then make a left onto Winchester (remember, be in the 2nd left-turn lane)
- Stick to the right lane, and make a right at any of Olsen, Tatum, or Olin. Basically Santana Row's on your right hand side once you're past the first light on Winchester. Turn in at Chili's (Olsen) and you definitely can't miss.

Coming from 280 northbound (for you folks coming in from Contra Costa maybe):
- Take 880 northbound (it's right after 17 southbound)
- This is a difficult offramp, but make sure you make a right onto Stevens Creek, which should be the last possible offramp. Don't get onto the West San Carlos offramp, which is the first circle.
- Make a right onto Stevens Creek from the offramp
- You'll pass the light at the 880 southbound Stevens Creek offramp
- Follow the rest of the directions for people coming from 880 southbound

(Then again, if you're coming in from Contra Costa, maybe you should just take Mission to 880 southbound ... would be easier ... )
