That's why making mistakes is not an option. j/k Thunderhill is nice because it's a pretty forgiving track.

well, i've gone thru many mistakes with my other cars (oh the stories of my old cars... i'm lucky i'm alive), and i've realized that its not time for me to go on the track until i know my car and improve my skills... yea i think T-hill is about the only track i'm willing to risk going to now... i was very conservative when i went in January... and that's why i'm afraid to go to laguna seca in May, because i've gone to that track before and its a very technical course that i dont think i can handle at this point (at least not to the limit)...

Default Keep up the work

I ran novice all last year on my RE040's. It is a good experience. I just did go to 265's this year and still trying to adjust. I did a 360 into the last slalom on my third run. Man is this fun.

I am going to run my first track day at Thunderhill this Monday April 12.

I won't make the next race it's Easter and the family demands attendance.

See you all at run #8

Ray

so you have 265s on all four tires? does that affect VDC at all? i mean, i know you probably turn it off at the autoX, but are those your street tires as well? i'm trying figure out what i should get after my re40s... which wont last very long haha...

Chekered Flag Racing Club out of Livermore, as a guest of one of the members. I meet him looking for the Hot Lap timer and asked if he knew of a club running in April. Sounds like a club running with 20 people per section. They run with the same experience groups other racing groups have but with smaller run groups. They run spring and fall and a large group run SCCA during the summer. This is the direction I am heading so I thought this might be a good fit.

Also just found out my Koni shocks are in and will be installed Friday so I will have them for the Monday track day.

Yes they can so I use these for race tires only. I bought another set of wheels and tires for street use.
