just thought i'd check in again with all of you... you guys came up with some sweet designs... michelle-yours is my favorite! and brian, yours is sweet too, like everyone said, i think it should focus on the northern part of cali, instead of the whole state... u know i still want one!!! i represent nor cal down here, all the so cal people know & some of the so cal z's know i'm proud of the bay and only speak highly of the nor cal z family! so i hope you all think i deserve one, cuz someone in the updated so cal events thread DIDN't think i should get one becuz i'm down here, i didn't think that was nice of him but you know how that one saying goes... (something like this, i forgot) but you can take the girl out of the bay area, but you can't take the bay area out of the girl... hehe! (you get what i'm trying to say) well hope you all are well... let me know when any of you are in so cal...

Brian, crop the Cali map so it covers an area just north and just south of the latitudes covered by the big "Z". Then, get rid of the "350z" in the "shift_norcal"; move the "350" to the next line, where it leads right to the big "Z" logo.

I thought about cropping the state, but it then starts to lose its distinctive designation... basically, it loses its resemblance or significance as being CA, norcal... IMO at least. I know that we would know it was the BA, but I feel that no one else would really be able to easily identify what the cropped segment was supposed to represent...

In any case, I have that GGB idea that Michelle had in the works, we'll see how that turns out. What I was really happy about (personally) was the Z logo as it was done completely by hand (on the computer, of course ). It was fun nonetheless

Here's a GGB concept logo as suggested by Michelle. I can't seem to figure where to put the 'shift' and 'Z' parts of the logo (location, size, color, etc)... open to feedback and suggestions. Again.

what if you made the ggb logo look like the map one... except instead of a read matte, make it black, and put that in the back, the ggb in the middle and the text, in white(?), up front?

 

Much better. Although we're still covering Big Sur with that map. I'll try to come up with something, but I need a nice little "Z", "shift", and map. Mebbe I'll crib off yours.

I'm not sure if I misinterpreted your suggestion, but here is what I think that you meant... if the "shift" logo is any higher, it starts to get difficult to read plus the red "shift" underline begins to meld with the bridge...

Let me know if I got what you meant. Still open to suggestions
