Question Nor Cal Z Meet and Greet??

I'm getting a Z in just a few weeks and I was wondering if any of the NorCal group has any regular meets or anything? Any road trips in the next month? I'm in Milpitas. Let me know, I'd like to meet some of you guys!

Bet your itching to get the new car. You should definitely consider driving down to the Z Nationals in June. But we will probably have a few meets/drives before the LA show. Summer is coming so there will be plenty to do.

When is your car due by the way?

You don't have to have your Z yet in order to meet some of us... meet this Saturday in South SF.

I'm probably showing up in my g/f's car... she's got more trunk space for one of those pocket bikes... if I violate my budget and decide to get one, that is

failsafe: The car is on the boat right now and is scheduled to arrive the week of May 7th. I've been waiting over a year for this, and now that I know it's coming the last days seem like forever!

yobri: Thanks for the info, I didn't know there was a mini meet in that thread. I don't think I'll be able to make it to that meet since I've already got plans for this weekend. But once I get the Z I'd love to takes some rides around the bay (gotta break that thing in!)

Guess I should introduce myself a bit more. I'm 26, and live with my wife in Milpitas. We've been here for about a year and a half (just out of school and got married). I'm actually a rocket scientist and I'm the lead electric propulsion systems engineer for Space Systems Loral in Palo Alto. In lamens terms, I'm in charge of some wacked out Star Trek type plasma thrusters that we put on our comm satellites (we built Sirius, for example). Anway, my wifes got a tricked out Jeep wrangler, huge tires, lift, etc, and we also 4 wheel. We've met a lot of good friends that way and now we're getting into the racing scene. Looking forward to hangin with you guys and learnin all about the Z!

Whoa, if you pickup your car on May 7th, we'll be sharing the same purchase anniversary date

I preordered in the beginning of February 2003 and it took the full three months to get here... so tell us, color, model, tranny type...?

Hello, my name is Scott, and I'm addicted to 350Zs....

I'm getting a 2004.5 Daytona Blue Performance, 6speed manual, side airbags, kick plates, floor mats, cargo package.

First mods in the next few months (once the bank account recovers!): Veilside V1 lip, Data Systems rear spoiler, clear bra, Valentine 1 radar and lots of Crystal Guard (pro).

And my wife thought her Jeep was an expensive hobby!

Ok, so that's my story, what about you guys???

Yep, and with an official degree too. Masters from MIT in rocket and space propulsion! Somehow people think that means I know everything about everything (thanks Von Braun!)
Not true. But I am almost done with my anti-matter warp drive prototype.... if only I could get some dam dilithium crystals!

Don't worry Moodie, I want a unique Z too. I won't copy ALL your mods!

if you folks like, I can photochop some of your license plate & wheels on my car in the shoot for you

anyways, welcome Starman!!! Never met a real rocket scientist before!! (met a lot of self proclaim ones though... )

Anyways, I think the bulk of us are still south bay folks though we are starting to see a nice crowd in the east bay and SF area. Well, I think with the weather becoming better, I think it's almost time to start up the local meet & drives again.... d&b + Mt. Hamilton anyone? (For old time sake?)
