Default Anyone in NorCal have the cellphone hookup?

I am looking for a good price on a Motorola v600. Anyone have an awesome deal? My Carrier is AT&T right now, so it'd either have to be an UNLOCKED phone, or an ATT one.

I'm in the market for a cell phone too and my choices are limited between AT&T and T-Mobile. How's AT&T been for you?

Also, anyone have hooks on a Motorola v690?

AT&T has been decent to me. I have been on a TDMA plan for years, and am just about to migrate over to GSM service. This phone (the v600) retails for like $399, so I wanna find a good deal on one!

I don't know if the v690 is available in the US market though.

Supposedly Best Buy is having a sale on the phone:

Cingular
Motorola v600 phone
$249 with 1 year contract
-$100 Mail in Phone Rebate
Free Motorola Bluetooth headset ($100 value)

I'm not sure if this is real, so you may wanna call the store first rather than making a trip out there. Don't know how interested you'd be in switching to Cingular, but they can port your number over so that you can keep the same one.

The v690 was never released in the US, but some stores have gotten them in (from Asia I assume) and are selling them under AT&T and T-Mobile providers (hence my need to go with one of the 2).

att and cingular gsm companies merged about 2 weeks ago, and even if you did swap you can still keep your number now!!

Thanks for the offer mgl, but I think I need to stick with my current phone for now (cuz Verizon is the only provider that gets reception in my office building).
