Default Post on Rear Track Diffusers

Hey guys. I wrote a long post on installing the rear track diffusers. This is part of the Track model aero package with is not available on other models. Performance Nissan carries a kit. If anyone wants to check them out in person let me know. I am going to start long term testing on the complete track aero package to see if I get any benefits in gas mileage at consistent freeway speeds.

Today was really windy driving to Walnut Creek and I can say the aero package does keep the car very planted. Gust of wind simply did not affect the Z.

here is the linkage to my write up

I have these on mine as well, after putting on the rear diffusers, the car seem to glide when put neutral coasting...
the feeling is hard to explain, but it wasn't there before the rear diffusers...
I guess this could be chalk right up there with butt dyno

now who here works at lockheed martin... can we borrow the windtunnel

After a few freeway trips making sure that I coasted in nuetral, I notice what you are talking about.

My theory is the Nismo Exhaust without the deflector messes up the flow. Without the rear diffusers things get ugly. The rear diffusers put things back to normal, if not better.

The stock diffuser doesn't work with NISMO exhaust?

The stock deflector on the rear muffler sector is welded and bolted on to the OEM muffler. It does not transfer to the NISMO exhaust. If you know how to change it over that would be great.
