Default Install cost for Tein Coilover + EDFC in Bay Area?

So, I wanted to see how much I should figure in for install cost of a Tein Coilover system AND the EDFC.

I am confident that I could do the suspension install, but I am unsure about the EDFC wiring and routing.

Is there a shop in the bay area that can step up, and gimme a deal on the whole nine yards?

Willing to drive it down to the bay area, but would need it to be done in one business day, due to the fact that most of the shops on here are 2+ hours away. I could always find something to do in the sili valley for a day

Since you've decided to go coilovers try Strictly Z or Gruppe-S for a package deal.

I was going to recommend you try the Tein H springs first since they are softer then the S.

I think I am going to try and get a set of the Tein CS coilovers, with EDFC (confirmed that it works with other coilovers than the Flex) ... There is a guy on the site here that has a used set for a really good price.

All I would really need is the install.

I thought about the H Tech springs (even before I bought the S Tech) but I like the drop of the S Tech, and would like to set the coilovers to about the same height. Couldn't go much lower, or I would scrape my exhaust off.

Well, I might just have to forget about this. I was gonna get the CS Coilovers at a good price, but got swooped and they were sold before I could contact the guy for final payment

Now I am searching for a good deal on the Tein CS coilover system with EDFC... maybe even an installed price. I'll check with some of the local vendors to see what they could do for me.

might sound odd, but if your concerned with just the EDFC install, you would probably do better with just using a stereo/alarm shop since they do a MUCH better job in my opinion routing and installing electrical accesories than mechanics are

I would generally agree with you but it might take some serious convincing for neur0sis considering what they did installing his alarm

Rob at Z Car Garage and John at Exact Motorsports both have experience installing EDFC on the 350.

Bill - Yeah. The guy PM'd me back a few times, and told me to call him on his cellphone, and we'd work out a deal. I called this morning, and he said "Oh sorry, they are already sold"

And you're right about getting me to any of our local stereo shops. *aim's rocket launcher at Cartronics*

The best price I can find so far online for a NEW system with EDFC is almost $1900. Not bad, I suppose... but I want to see if I can beat that at all.

Default $1900 is not bad.....

but you'll have to add shipping and may be sales tax...so they all come back to about the same...

I did it at Exact MotorSport......forgot how much, but good install!

actually that price is $1899 shipped, no tax. I just need to get a quote on install, and bring it all together.

Does Exact Motorsports have a website?

Doesn't she have the FLEX though. If I were to get some, I'm really leaning toward the CS system. I guess, like Bill said, I'm gettin old and am lookin for an option for a COMFORTABLE ride when I want it.

yeah, it is FLEX. I had the FLEX on my STI too andtook it off after a week, a tad much for a car that gets about 5K miles on it a month, went with Tein springs

Expect the install to cost in the neighborhood of $250-$300. We've been installing it for many G35s and that's teh range depending on where the customer wants the control unit to be mounted.
