Default Free iPOD mini site...

So, I am sure some of you have seen this little "referral" site on the other forums and such.

Sure, first off, it seems like a scam. I thought the same, until other forum members and FRIENDS of mine started actually getting their iPOD's in the MAIL!

(Man, I sound like a total SPAM advertisement)

So, anyway, here is the scoop:

http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=7703487

You click that link, and follow the reg ... I made a new email address, to avoid some spam. Get the account, make 5 referrals, and you get your iPod.
There is even a GUIDE someone made, to show you exactly what to do. http://geocities.com/ghettopia/freeipod.htm

Super easy ... if anyone is interested in trying it on this webboard ... We can start here. I have seen two of the iPods myself from two friends here in Santa Rosa, and I know about 20 other people on another car forum that have started getting theirs. Might work. *shrugs* Its free to try

I think you were the one that found the link to "free money" from unclaimed settlements... since that reference was good, I'll try your suggestion here.

this ipod thing is pretty easy, if you follow the guide ... the guy made up like, a step by step ... so he even suggests the things you can bid on, if you choose the ebay referral...

LOL

If 5 people click on my link above, and I get the free iPOD ... I'll post pics so that people know its real!

Hmm... guess that the .aspx page doesn't like Mozilla... I clicked Submit with my information and all I got was a blank page (despite multiple F5 attempts at that). Guess it isn't going to work for me afteralll, good luck with yours though

I took a look at that site and it really looked fishy. I know you said many people had gotten their Ipods but I dont trust any sites that require CC and doesnt support SSL.

Perhaps I am too skeptical cause I'm a programmer and would never offer a site to customers without SSL when CC is required.

I also did a comparison between the actual EBay registration site and the freeipods.com referred site, Ebay offers SSL and not FreeIpod.

Just be aware.. if you get it ...GREAT !

I hope you get the IPOD neur0sis... GOOD LUCK BRO !

I hadn't gotten to that point in the process, but I agree about the SSL requisite (I'm always a skeptic also being in the IT field also... seen way too many questionable things on client systems and have heard WAY too many horror stories). Do let us know how it all pans out though

Bruce, after using Mozilla Firefox, you just don't wanna go back to IE (unless you ABSOLUTELY have to).... try it, you'll see (that is, unless you're using your Pocket PC or something... then IE may be the best alternative... ).

I don't see anywhere that you have to enter a CC. I didn't.

I signed up, using a fake name and address. You can always change the ship-to address later when you get the iPod.

Also, I did the eBay promotion, and there is no CC required.

*shrugs* We'll see what happens... if anyone wants to sign up and see if we can really get iPods ... use my link above I'll be the guinea pig

Brian, I'm on Mozilla already. IE's only for Flash.

i used your link to get you started it is weird how it links you on the the sites, what i belive is they are snatching cc information the only sites that look like they can't ****** the info is the AOL links but then the freeipod.com address dissapers off of the bar.

just curious... if no credit card needed, what's stopping people from creating 5 accounts?

regardless, I think I still will do it

should we have a more systematic approach? Here is a list of people that have done it. I guess we should help Neur0sis get his first. Then down the list?

1. Neur0sis

Just thought I would update this post...

Once I got my last confirmed referral, it took almost 2 months to get it. But, it is here now!

Let me know guys if you need any tips on how to get this done. The regular "freeipods.com" site is pretty slow now a days, but there are a few more sites out there, run by the same companies, that are shipping much much faster.

(Free Digital Cameras, another free MP3 player site, Free PHOTO iPods, etc) PM me if you wanna get started!

Hello,

I have read many success stories of people receiving there free iPod from this site so I decided to sign up. You have to complete one offer and refer 5 friends to receive it. I decided to sign up for the 14 day free Rhapsody trial (I will cancel it before the trial is over). Anyway below is my referral link if you click on it and sign up then complete an offer I will Pay Pal you $5. You also have the chance to earn your own iPod. Could it get any better?

Story about this company on Wired: http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,64614,00.html

Thanks for your help!
