Default Tien CS + EDFC INSTALLED! *whew*

Wow, what a Saturday that was.

I got all the new suspension installed, and the EDFC put in...
Everything works perfectly!!

The Suspension took me about 8 hours, with several breaks, and a 1/2 hr swim break in the pool. Of course, I had to pick one of the hottest days of the week to be sitting in my garage under a car!

The only real problem I ran into was removing the stock adjustment "click" screw on top of the front coilovers. The supplied wrench that came with the EDFC would not fit in there with the top mounts in place. I ended up "accidentally" snapping the screw off with vice grips in order to get it off. I tried all the box wrench, sockets, pliers, channel locks, etc that I had with no other luck.
Fortunatly, its just the little screw assembly for manual adjustment, and was completly replaced by the new assembly in the EDFC package.

I took a few pics, but not comprehensive enough to make a write up. I was planning on taking more, but I think I was motivated to get it all done in one day.

So far, I am very impressed by this setup. I'll post the pics I have, and a review once I have driven a little more. I still need to lower the car a tad bit more and make sure everything is even all around.

Is there an easy way to adjust the height by just jacking up the car and reaching in ... or do I have to take the wheels off for sure? Also, does anyone know if the adjustment rate on the front and back threadded collars are 1:1 (ie - move 1" and lower/raise the car 1") I think the back may be 1:2 (ie - Move the spring seat 1/2" to raise/lower the car 1" )

Congratulations you did it. All by yourself I might add . You're becoming a real pro at this. Glad things went well. Enjoy!

We'll have to meet up after work some day so I can take a look.

I would like to see it too. Congrats! I thought you could make the adjustments from inside the car.

The adjustments that the EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) do are just that... Damping and Rebound. The Height adjustment is still manual.

I had a blast doing it too... I think Im finally getting the hang of the way the suspension works in this car

I'd be happy to meet up with any of you guys... maybe we could meet for coffee or something after work one of these days...

I'm going to post some pics in the Suspension forum with a few pics of how I was able to squeeze the EDFC into the nav spot.

I'm curious to see how different the ride is between the Tein and my Hypermax IIs. We should try to have a meet sometime so we can try out different setups.
