Talking Reminder!:)

Hey guys, this event is coming up soon, if you have not been to this event your missing out, if you have been to a track event you know how great it is already. As long as it doesn't rain this is the best time of year to go because its not 100 degree weather!!! So if your thinking about doing something for yourself this is the way to do it. I hope to zya all of you there!!

Below is something I received from the organizers

--------------

Hello Club Z and friends!

Registration is NOW OPEN for our Thursday, November 11th High Performance Driving Event at Thunderhill Park. This is Veterans Day and what better way to spend a holiday! The event will include a FREE banquet dinner the day before the event. See the event page for details (link below). Our events are structured to provide a safe environment, good instruction, tons of track time, and the lowest possible price! This event promises to build on our past successes and be a fun event for all! If you've never brought your Z to the track to see what it can do, you are missing out on a great experience. You can even invite your friends as all makes and models are welcome.

Registration slots can only be held for 3 days without payment and Z Car Garage has signed on to sponsor technical inspections for Club Z Track events. You are now able to have your car inspected 7-14 days before the event at their San Jose location by appointment only. Please have your techlist ready when you go. Those that know the hectic couple of hours before the first on-track session will appreciate getting this done ahead of time. Z's are especially encouraged to check out the impressive shop facilities and meet with the new owner and avid track hound, Rob Fuller.

For all the info and to sign up, visit the event web page:
http://www.clubz.org/track/track_day_11-11-04.html

Early bird pricing ends 6 days!! (10/28/04, based on date of payment)

Please spread the word to your friends and family to help make this event a continued success!

For any questions, we can be reached at Track@clubz.org
Z-ya at the track and enjoy the ride!!

Go to the links above and read about it. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in you can sign up and pay. You do need a helmet (I believe at least Snell95), but you can rent one at the track for ~$25. Wear some jeans, T-shirt or sweatshirt, and some comfortable shoes.

Clubz is a great group to run with for your first time.

I think it's $225. Early bird = $200. Dinner is probably around 6 or 7pm.

Need to talk to Rob, but I think we may be leaving around 1pm on Wednesday. I'll post details on the caravan once we figure it out.

For those that are still unsure about taking their car on the track- you can come out and watch and see what it's all about. You may even be able to get some ride alongs with other drivers/instructors.

Sounds like fun. What is the cost if you are a spectator as opposed to a driver?

Newbie questions:

1. Where are you guys staying?
2. What do I need to bring? Tools, food, anything else?

Sean- No cost to show up at the track and watch.

John- I usually stay at the Amerihost Suite in Willows. You may want to bring some snacks and definitely some water. You can bring some tools but we usually have plenty. You may also want to bring a lawn chair to sit while off track.

damn, I totally forgot about booking the room.... yeah I need to call in for a room tomorrow. Most likely I'll be splitting with my bro. If you guys want to cut the cost down even more, I'm sure we can get roll aways or bring sleeping bags for our room. I want a bed.
and no John, we don't stink

Hahaha..

If anyone still wants to split a room, let me know. It's not too expensive, but I'd rather not have to pay for a whole room myself.

If not, is it cool if I crash in your room Dave? The floor is fine with me.

I just got word today that I have to train 30+ people for the new program we are launching or else I would just call in sick that day and not even apply for PTO.
