OK SO I'M ALL REGISTERED AND READY TO GO. i'm going to see how the stockie pads hold up. i won't push it too hard. i decided to say with the stock pads. i know many people have DEDICATED track / street pads but that's too much hassle now that i don't hae my garage anymore.

john, thanks for the info on the hawk HPS pads. they sound good.

I'll talk to Rob today and see what the plan is. We'll probably meet up at Z Car Garage somwhere around 1pm.

Sean- we usually go up 680 so we may have to set up meeting point somewhere along the way.

I'll get the details and let you guys know.

Thanks Jason. It looks like 55 people have signed up for this event. Are there 3 different driving classes? I will be in the beginner class for sure. This is my 1st track event.

Sean,
what time are you gonna be at Zcar on Tuesday? I'll be there at around 1pm getting my car checked. I may need to buy some spare pads as well, depending on what Rob says.

I'll go ahead and make the room reservations. Best Western (where the other guys are staying) has rooms available with 2 beds. It'll run like $75 total.

If anyone needs a place to crash, we'll have floor space available.

Yes, there are three classes. If you run a few sessions and feel that the beginner class is too slow they will usually let you move up to the next class (w/ instructor approval)

John:

I was waiting to hear back from Lou because he is also going to ZCG tomorrow. I was going to follow him up. Not sure what time yet.

Best western sounds fine.

We'll be meeting at Z Car Garage at 1pm on Wednesday for the caravan. If you plan to drive up with the caravan post so we don't leave without you. If you need directions let me know.

Sean- you can either meet us at Z Car Garage or we can plan a second meeting point off of the 680.

I'm not familiar with 680 so Sean will need to pick a spot. Preferably an easy on, easy off exit.

Sean, please post a convenient meet point for yourself. Driving down to San Jose is kinda out of the way for me, so I'd prefer to meet off 680 as well.

What is the name of the offramp? And how do we get to the Bart station?

if they leave at 1pm from z-car garage, I would say 2pm at the Bart station.
It usually takes me about 50 minutes getting to Walnut Creek from my place. (I know, I drive slow )

Cool so 680 to Ygnacio Valley exit and turn right. We'll plan to meet you guys at 2pm. If we lag for some reason (which is a real possibility) I'll call Dave and let you guys know.
