Default HPDE at Infineon this weekend

I'll be at Infineon this weekend with NASA. Is anyone else going to be there??

Not a very good day to be at the track. My r-compounds were useless I should have kept the 040's on, I would have been better off.

Nothing happened. Just 275 R-compounds hydroplane at only 20mph. People with stock or even all seasons were the fastest people under the conditions. On my last car, I ran the same r-compunds but 235's in the rain and they were great. I guess the extra couple inches of width makes all the difference.

Normally I like rainy track days because you can practice car control (read drift like a champ without ruining tires), but the steam roller tires didn't even give me enough traction to turn in without drama.

Oh I see - it was wet. Sorry to hear that...but yeah, I would guess that wide R-comps would be worthless in those conditions. On the bright side, at least you got in some hydroplane-recovery practice!
