Only concern of a retune is if engine were to blow, then i cant say its there fault and would have to deal with waranty crap. Quite a dilemma. Figure i just do my upgrades in non power department for a while.
Traction is big problem so slightly bigger wheels and tires, maybe a better sound system and HU.
Curious for anyone that has built a motor, obviously it doesnt make the engine invincible, but would pushing 350-400 fwhp safely with 22-24lbs boost seem reasonable? Its a 2.3 4cyl, that stock runs 15-16psi around 225-230 fwhp.

Not sure... I had an Eclipse GST with upgraded fuel system, turbo, IC, AFC for tuning and got to 320whp and 340lb tq to the wheels before I bent a valve for massive overboost.. crappy MBC would spike at 30lbs somtimes.
Fully built it should handle 350-400whp easy. You will need a serious tuning application.. like Stand alone only. And Im sure that stock snail wont make that much at all.

may just enjoy this as a dd for now, after getting a job in my field take on a project car. Maybe an F body or my father's vette. He needs a newer one anyways,

mazdaspeed 3, love the turbo, already got an intake to enjoy the sound more. Very gunshy to mod too much, lot of mazdaspeeds are blowing motors, not sure if its them being dumb, bad tune, or what. Thinking i will invest in some forged internals then go big later on when waranty isnt as fresh.

Update, there might be a chance I may be driving up to Forge Performance this friday to get my car tuned on saturday. Just depends on if a friend of mine is getting his tuned as well and there is room for us, he has to call them tomorrow and then he will let me know. Stay Tuned.
