anyone else going? I was pretty disappointed by the last car show and I'd be sick if I fork out another $10+, just to see the same cars.

Nah, I'm not going. Car shows are overrated. . .for the money you have to pay, the cars you see, its not that great. The women dont even make up for the cost in my opinion. . .

I should stop distracting myself and get back to studying. . .(dont ever take sociology358)

Yeah, upper level credits. For Arts and Sciences majors, you need 60 upper level credits, courses that are 200 w/prerequisites or 300+. I took 358 because it was the sociology of korea, and I'm korean, so I figured hey, might be interesting. I was terribly mistaken. Too many random videos and unorganized power points. The professor was missing from class more than my four other professors combined.

Glad to say my econ classes are actually interesting. After this semester, I don't need any more econ courses. . . just need upper level credits! Gonna find out tomorrow at GRAD session if I can graduate in the summer.

I think every thread in the pacific forum gets threadjacked

eh...I doubt much more will be said about HIN, I think most of the folks who frequent here have already said their peace. hey al, did you take an intro speech course? if so and depending on how many more upper div credits you need you may want to take a look at getting a minor in speech. all you need is 5 upper division speech courses and it looks good on a resume. just something to consider if you've got a bunch of upper division credits to kill and nothing else left required.

Haha, I didnt mean it as anything bad, just pointing it out. Speech minor...the only thing is...I hate speech. I don't like to stand up and talk in front of people, I get nervous.

I hear ya...however only the intro courses of speech actually have anything to do w/ public speaking (sp 150/151/251). all the other speech courses are actually just theory based and pretty fricking easy. take a look at the course descriptions. classes like relationship management, conflict management, etc.

I will indeed look into that if that is the case. I need 16 non-intro credits to graduate by summer. One being a 300+ writing intensive. Any recommendations?

I'm gonna have to find a 1 credit course or a 4 credit course.

Sigh.

wow...that sounds just about right for a speech minor. did you take an intro speech course already? if so then you should go over to the speech dept and check out a list of the requirements and courses. I know they have 1 or 2 upper division WI courses. I think Relational Management was one that I took and it was pretty easy (almost all chicks in the class too, bonus!). is story telling an upper division? I don't think it is, but if so I've heard that was an easy WI course. don't know what to tell you about needing that 1 extra credit. maybe take aerobics...jk! I'm assuming you did your jump session huh? if you do plan to grad summer you'll need to do your goldenrod soon right?

I skipped JUMP and actually just had GRAD session today. Good thing too, miscalculated that one credit. Damn.

What? All chicks? I'm there dude. . .

1 credit. What a killer. . .I'd better think of something, don't want to go to summer session (good mod money right there).
