Thanks punish her/seth.

Again I was surprised they even wrote back. I also inquired about the Turbonetics, APS ST set up prices. Haven't got a response as of yet from them. Seth whats your price shipped to the Island on those? Youre right about inquiring for what they require, stickers, showing...etc. I'll get more info. So seth, I guess I found the shop thats gonna take care of my Z....not that punish her gave your shop any props...but ehh..hint hint. From what I hear...I'll be welcome and the Z well taken care of when it arrives on Island...I can live with that. Let me know about TT,TS prices installed. Can't wait to get started. Keep you guys posted what I find out from this sponsor.

Hey slik,

I dropped tunedwhips a line let them know what I have and what I need to do on my car. Yeah they cant help me until I do the body and bigger wheels. They wanted pics to see what I have had done though. I abliged and sent them 12 photos of the build up to include a dyno sheet.

Well I guess I'm officialy on the other side of the fence now where they can realy only help out with cash and not parts.

Good luck on your venture. if you need help finding parts let me know. I have HOURS AND HOURS to surch for the next few months.

Aight...they sent me another email. Gave me a price on a seibon Hood I wanted which was about $450... range. Thats about 300 less on what I've seen on the web. They also will be gettin me prices on the Turbonetics, APS ST setups. They wanted me to call monday, on the prices, terms conditions etc. DAM! I wasnt expecting this. I just sent in pics just for the hell of it. Didn't expect any response back. Are they for legit or what? what you think? If so then, Ima need advice on what to buy....and so on and so forth. That Greddy TT price sounds good according to you and seth. Im courious to find out how much it the STs gonna run. Then I'll make the decision based of the that. I'll hit you later on what I find out. gonna hit the gym.

Default long responce to follow

Well they seem legit, no real canned responce like you would expect from a scam. Do a reverse search on the phone number to see what company its registered under and what city they are located in. They were pretty straight up with me saying there wasnt any thing they could do for me until I start going body because I have more parts than there product line. That was a good fealing for me for the company because they didnt try to BS me into parts I didnt need, which shops have tried to do before. No business ever delt with those people again, even if they were the lower price. I'd rather know my money is going to a good reputable shop. So for that I'll pay a few buck so others are less likely to get screwed.

From your end ask for there mailing address, photos of the facility and wearhouse, and what there past experience has been in this area of sales. Ask if there actual store front has a diffrent name and ask the BBB if they have any complaints or claims filed against them. If they are a legit business they will have an IRS buiseness number for income tax purposes. How long have they been at there current location and how many owners. Basicly your running a psuedo credit check on the company assessing the liabilty they have invested in and weighing the risks with the benifits and making an informed decission. Ask arround here too on the main forum to see there rep. As you can see there are people that sing the praises and curse the name of shops.

Essential every company I've delt with that I could not physicaly walk into, aside from ebay deals; I've done almost every thing I've mentioned. Its a little time consuming but hey it gives you a better peice of mind on where your money is going and where your parts are comming from.

Seems like some work to do, but its worth making the checks to save money in the long run...no BS. Got a question, my wife just got her 05 4-runner shipped to HI, she has 30 days to get it registered. She Yesterday she went to firestone to get an inspection but they said her window tint was too dark...what da hell?...its dam near factory tint. In Texas its legal. Anyways, is there a shop she can go too in the Aeia/pear harbor/city area she could get it done at that might be a little more LENIENT AND FLEXABLE WITH DA TINT. When my car gets there...Ima have to go the same shop! mine is the same shade as hers....we both have silver cars with the titanium type shade tint. Again, its state legal in texas. And texas is real strict on the Tint belive me! Sure hate to peel off the tint on both the SUV and my Z it was kind expensive, plus it looks good.

Oh, and the could you recommend a good Airconditioning shop for the 1992 Honda civic I bought while I was there in June. The AC just went out, and it uses the freon system not the new oil system. Yeah, I could get it done and do it myself when i return in Aug but, until then, the gas on the for the 4-runner is gonna be a b**** so we'd rather use the civic for economy purposes. Any suggestions, for a lenient inspection shop and AC shop that could help the wife out in the area?

okay...tell me why the thread for this tunedwhips.com sponsorship thingy is blocked. I saved the thread to my favorites to access it but now its blocked or no longer exists. As a matter a fact, the whole thread is blocked. Did the moderators do this or did they? I emailed them the question. something seems fishy now.

Yeah you must be trying to access from work. The network admins do a review, weekly usualy. If they see an entertainment or online shopping site thats new they see how many people are viewing it then make an inpact assment then block it if it weighs into it.

Thats how ESPN and other sites stay up, many people are viewing it but takes up a small fraction of the available band width so they leave it up. With tuned whips they probably saw it only a few hits and little band width used so they block it to free up room. Basicly the total band with in those areas are broke in kinda like a pie chart, a certain % alocated to critical mission, certain % into no critical mission, certian % to mission support, then entertainment, so on and so on.

Think of the entertainment portion as a channel they gotta keep on the lower end stuff that not many poeople use at bay so when the world cup or supper bowl is on the big boss can pop up ESPN and have little lag.

Rember if the boss aint happy then no one is happy. If the worker aint happy, who the f@ck cares!

EDIT: BTW I just looked up the site its still there, your hopes can go back to a higher than normal level.

No....im accessing at home. its 10:22 pm Sunday night. Yep, the site is still up but the thread on the forum isn't. I save the Thread. But when I access it a message comes up, blocked by administrator...etc. As a matter fact...I did a search on thru all thread for the tunerwhips comments...and nothing but only my thread I sent you mentioning it....still kind fishy to me. Or maybe they took the thread off for no more replys into the sponsorship program....dunno. waiting for a reply.

Oh from my350z.com blocked, it could be as simple as they never finished the process of sponsor dues from for the site. so they took down the thread. I suggest asking a mod.

Yeah that sounds like that may be the problem. Because that thread is no where on the site. Anyways, thanks.
