Default Making it wide

So yeah I was asking arround and I found an AMUSE FRP FULL Widebody kit for $950 shipped to my door I think I can talk them down on the kit a few hundred more. But that got me thinking hard about it.

So If I dont get a decent price on my first choice, Venom XXL Widebody, I think I'll go to the AMUSE I was offered. It will be a while but hey, if I save money now I'll rearrange my funds to meet my goals which means in the long run I save money. It will be a while before I put it on but I will have it for when I need it.

So you say, "Man you got that but your wheels will be way in there. What up with that?" Never fear I found a place in MI that widens wheels and my dad actualy used them before. They can widden one pair of wheels to 12" so move the 18X10 to the front and 18X12 in the rear. Hows that sound for ya?

Been prioritizing and seeing what's 100% needed, with the track closed the BBK slid back, 3" exhaust is 50/50, half shafts is up front. The wheels and body kit are floating to see what comes cheaper. But Engine is on the front burner. So some time in the near futuer if things work out I will have a forged engine wide body W/ 275 up front 315's or larger in back idealy 335 or 345.

So yeah I'm branching out.

Um yeah...

1) this his thinking out loud, mainly for the Hawaii peeps.

2) I've made the deal on the engine and will put the deposit down as soon as I get back in the states (away on business). All the valve train parts and cams are alredy on hand and waiting to be shipped to builder.

3) For the interjections do a little search for the threads I've started and the projects I've done on the Z. They all start out with speculation and listing and as the research is completd and it gets to go time every thing gets done. I up date every thing and even correct my mistakes on here when I screw up.

4) With the purchase of the engine I'm up to about $23,000 so far so I kinda think I know whats going on with projects.

5) Thank you so much positive and insightful constructive input. It is always welcome any time.

Since the URL's dont seem to work, verbal instructions. Search->Username ->punish_her -> check threads started by -> continue the search.

See if that works for ya, most of the Hawaii's guys are probably sick of seeing so many damn threads and comments by me so they are probably well ware that this has been ongoing since Jan 05. So I guess this is more for the Peeping Toms.

I can't recall what the Amuse kit looks like but I do the Venom, lovin the Venom. V3 has always been my pick for a body kit but since the venom came out I'm re-thinking it, without the widebody though.

i seen the other thread on the venom and uh, the other kit. i'm not a fan of either. if price is a factor then oh well. if not then why not the Top Secret or the Do-Luck wide body. those are pretty nice.

I may go with a peice by peice job. New front fenders 10mm wider direct bolt on (seibon fiberglass). Either blisters or metal for pushing out the rear 30mm. With the direct bolt on fenders there is more varitey for kits because the stock nose width is the same.

Still in the speculation stage though, gotta see what they look like first on the car before I decide anything. If I do decide on the Vennom the fenders will actualy match quite well. Bottom line I am going to go with what I like and fits my style.

Um yeah I have never BS'd on any project I've done so far, why would I start now that I'm on the home stretch. As I said before, I do every thing here from speculation to final review unless the review got lost some where in the hustle and bustle of life. So all my thought process from start to finish is in B&W. It may help others with some decisions it may not. I feal this is more of an online journal of my thought and projects so when each part is finished I can read begining to end on how I eneded up where I did instead of turning arround one day having it finished and forgetting the small detail like why I chose certain items or which items worked best for me.

I do apreciate coments, feed back and advice whenever possible. Especialy if it comes to things that have already been done, like widening the rear fenders or techniques used to align specific body kits. I've done most of this in the past but not to such an extent as this so I'm walking lightly to make sure I do this the right way.

Yeah I've been thinking the same thing, I'm working with a company thats getting me the pricing on the kits and they threw that out there. It may be they are throwing in front and rear blisters and calling it a wide body.

I'm waiting on an email for further clarification on this. I was under the impression that the AMUSE had no wide body. But I'll see what they come back with and let people know.

Came across this nose that I havnt seen before, its kinda got the lines of the AMUSE but more open almost a cross between AMUSE, and TS but unclettered.

http://www.onderground-design.com/pr...75/5475_01.jpg

And for those who are looking for a varitey of kits and carbon I came accross this site.

http://www.kgsengineering.com/index....f9a2466caac230

There is a great veriety of items there to get a good idea on diffrent styles you might have a hard time finding.
