Making it wide

A bit on the pricey side sometimes, but they are usually pretty helpful and straight forward.

mike-don't worry about the "doubters". keep us updated on ur progress, if you're still in hawaii when the widebody goes on you might have the only one here. is it cost effective to have your current rims shipped to the mainland to be widened vs finding a new set that is already the right width?

since I''m going 18X10F 18X 12 rear I will be using my old rears for the front and since my front ar super tore up I will have a recon set since you can t go more than 2" over stock width. So I got a set of 18X10's comming for arround $300 that will be shipped directly to weldcraft.
I will pay weld craft for the freight shipping, so boat; since im not in any hurry. It's gonna be $150 ish now for each wheel. Im trying to keep a reasonable offset so Im getting an inch onthe front and back. So the lip is going to 4" now instead of the Touge 3". With a +30 offset I realy dont think the full 2 "inches will fit inboud without hitting any thing.
The wheels are probably gonna get don this year some time with new 325's or 335's, roll the fender and see how they fit. I'll go from there. So when I get safetied the front going to the back the back is going away and the old fronts are going back on.... Make any since?
If for some odd twist of fait the big *** wheels fit in there with out any major mods to the fender I may just get a body kit. But thats a definate stretch there.
EDIT: after some reserarch, I may be able to get away with 11inch wheels and the 335's.

With the motegi route, the price quote for rims shipped to MI is $310 for the 2 rear. If i go for the 2 sided extension its $300 total, if its all on the back its $200. Lets go worst case $300; now I'm at $610 then they need tires, thats about $550ish for the set 335's now Im up to $1160. My rears are already Z rated, so again moce current back to front, new ones on the rear. BOOM !! Were in busines wheels no one has meety @$$ tires and an extra $1290 for doing what I want and not buying new wheels. That goes towards a new clutch, body kit, gas, or whatever.
Moral of the story, it may be easier to buy new wheels but if you do a little foot work you save alot of money

Mikes car? Sweet, his wide body is done? Those are some SICK tires.
Working with jason@performance and and figured the 11" wheels will fit and 335's will fit int0 the well with a fender roll. All I will need is a 15mm spacer and longer wheel studs front and rear.
The fronts are going to have a larger offset so yeah need the studs up front too. Dont know if i need spacers jsut yet I'll find out when I get back.
So DAMN those are some big *** tires, any power goals yet from mike and what he wants, he's got the 100mm dartons right? What size fronts is he running? Has she broke into the rear traction and camber bars, and front adjustable A arms? Just wondering what he was able to pull out alignment wise.
Damn Seth you guys are getting some good rep going on for the Z's and G's. Too bad the track is closed. Kinda funny now that I think about it, the guy going for the fastest G is Mike and I'm going for the fastest Z Mike ....
Coincidence? Yeah I know 650whp wont last to long when you got people with deeper pockets going for the same goal or better resources. But I'm trying to get a complete package. So yeah at least I'll be in the top 3, maybe.
I guesse I'm sleeper-esqu now since I just droped a down payment on a Do-Luck replica CF hood an its looking like I can get away with out the wide body. Instead of pins I'm going with these: http://www.aerocatch.com/ . They are the exact same as the TS flush mounts but are half the price and are made to comply with several racing body rules. Also there is very indept instruction for mounting them.
So yeah I guess the thread has shifted to reffering to the wheel width and fitting them in the car.

So how much were they? How much an you get a set of 335's for?
Tires are about 370-400 each through tire rack. Tires like that they're the best place I can't get it for any cheaper. Plus those tires are treadwear 80. I'm expecting him to possibly change tires every 6 months which is kinda nuts. Btw I think you can put a 335 on a 11 but it will probably bulge. Also I should have about 600whp like the end of september. Pistons and rods have arrived.
Gotta wait till after august to do the build though.

Sweet good stuff man. So yeah I'll start another thread for the building.
I was doing the calculations and the tires are going to be about 1.096" wider on either side so yeah a bulge. I may end up with 325's
. I cant see how VRT put 315's on 18X10's thats a huge bulge.
but still 325's are a fat @$$ tire, hell thats 50 over my rears now. I'd like to see a pic of the stocker rears against these to see the contact patch, hell I'd like to see them against the stupid HUGE 345.
