These are must places to go. Trust me My family goes twice a year:
The Place of Refuge
Captain Cooks Island (either can kayak or take Captain Zodiac Tours)
Take the Captain Zodiac Tour have been going to hawaii for the past five years and still do the Zodiac Tour everytime we go.. They take you everywhere Place of Refuge, Captain Cooks, and alot of other cool places.
Kayaking to Captain Cooks is alot of fun! Your 50 but you can do it, its beautiful going over glassy water.
Go Deep Sea fishing: Kona has one of the best deep sea fishing in the world.. its a fact.
And relax... have fun
Thats just ina nutshell of what you can do.. But those are the major things thats amazing

The big island is a little slower, good place for golf, just cruising around the island. Since you'll be in Kona, start there, a little drive south and you'll see a bunch of kona coffee farms. If you like coffee you can tour a place and taste coffee. Definitely drive around the island one day, go down south around the point and up to hawaii volcano's national park to see kilauea or ask your concierge if there are night tours to see the lava flow. Go see Hilo and some of the falls in that area, orchid farms, usually rainy and wet on that side. Coming back around you can go by waipio valley where people hike, looks a little scary though or cut through the middle of the island towards parker ranch, i think they have horse riding and stuff. There are more suggestions for sight seeing locations on the "points of interests" link on the hawaii map guide link i pasted above. If you're not from the islands, go eat some local plate lunch, lau lau, kalua pork. Lots of bars and stuff to watch the sunset on the kona side, Waikaloa village resort a few miles north of kona has a dolphin pool. Anyways, lots to do.
