Oh my GOSH. I was rolling on that one. There were days that I remember running a red light at like 2 in the morning cause I just really really had to get home. Memories.....LOL. Oh damn. Funny stuff.
PS. People gotta have drama to live their lives. i.e. Soap Operas....Reality TV.....having a significant other...
see....everyone needs drama to be happy.
Just kidding.

Maybe I shouldve been more specific. My fault on that. I SHOULD'VE posted regarding a white 350z with the lic. plate 1TURBO. So I figured...post it on here to narrow things out.
yah...everyone speeds and the outcome is usually minor, like a speeding ticket. but this is regarding that driver driving in a wreckless manner. I dont know about you but, I dont want to be on the recieving end of someone's idiocracy and ignorance just because they gotta take a sh*t.

..............I agree to a point. While I get a little upset about racers/ricers cutting me off, I'll get angrier when it's the soccer mom in her 5,000# monster...........anywhoooooooooooooooo.................I'm catching a ride with my friend in high school and we are coming out of Kaneohe, maybe 2 o'clock in the morning. We are stopped at the Pali Highway intersection and I swear to God the light is red and we are waiting for 10 minutes. I finally tell my friend, hey man just run the damn light, I want to go home. I mean there were 0 cars on the road and we didn't see anyone.
Yup sure as $hit, the Popos turn on the blue light as soon as we make it through the intersection. I swear to God I never saw anyone, but he had to have been there for the entire time we were sitting at the light..........so we pull over and my friend disappears into the bushes on the side of the road leading into Maunawili. After going through the whole checking insurance/safety check/license/etc the policeman tells me, "When your friend comes back, give him this (the ticket)." Right at that moment, yup my friend shows up again.
I ask him, "Where the hell have you been (while I was dealing with the policeman and getting chewed on by the mosquitoes..........which by the way are all female.....those that are bloodsuckers)." He tells me loud enough for the policeman to hear, "Ho cuz, I had to take a $****."
He tells the same story to the judge and got out of the ticket. So there's my drama story.
What's sad is that the heritage of white forefathers who had no true respect for the culture they were dealing with is placed upon the back of current mainlanders who had no part in it.
I've spent alot of time traveling the world, and it becomes obvious to me that many US people have continued to show a shortened concept of respect when it comes to other's cultures. The stereotypes we have been brought up on in TV shows, movies and the like, in seriousness, and in satire lead many American's to often mistreat foreigners, domestic and abroad.
That doesn't leave out the people that live Hawaii. The Aloha spirit is steadfastly dissapearing. You can see it on the streets, in how we drive. In how we treat passerbys while walking through clubs or in malls. Our interactions with each other, the increase of selfishness, and the treatment of simple relationships, friends, business, and otherwise.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Treating someone as a stereotype instead of as a person is one of the worst ways to perpetuate what Hawaiians have always taught, and lived by.
This gets easier to say as, when moving abroad, I can come back home to the land of my youth, my birth, Hawaii, and easily see the change, the contrast between the old generation, and the new. The values held so dear yesterday, and the injustices condoned today.
The song holds true. What would the King do, if he saw what has become of Hawaii today? How much more would he feel if he saw how we as islanders treat each other, and ourselves.
ahhh, sorry, i have quite a few thoughts on the matter.

Besides, shouldnt you be up in the mountains practicing for scca solo2 to fine tune your skills to you can beat the s2ks? Or shouldnt you be out on the street picking on 600cc bikes, afraid of the bigger bikes eh? Yeah buddy, you should be one to talk about accepting it. Guess we'll be seeing you up at Tantalus when you get back from Cali huh?

addmitance to guilt of whatever happend on H3? Nice!
What's up kettle? looking a little black?
You're missing the concept of this thread. I'm trying to single out one person to make him aware of he just did...and just maybe he could've thought of what dangers there were and consequences that could've been. Been seeing that a lot of the younger car enthusiasts wanting to exploit their cars to their advantage at an accelerating rate being that the old track is closed. being that you're from here, then you should be familiar with the local saying..."bumbai you learn" Why accept it when you can prevent it?

WTF, seriously. This is why the Z community here in Hawaii sucks *** big time.
First off, people are just overreacting to some comments and spinning it to their past experiences.
Here's what went wrong.
636, you probably didn't mean any racial slur with "you mainlanders" but made the mistake to do so as others may have misinterpreted those statements. Personally, I didn't read any racial aftertones the first time I read the comment.
Josh, you know I'm cool with you and with everybody, but saying he was referring to caucasians in general with "mainlander" and being racially degrading is kind of... being racist also. You kind of pooled me into it... that all locals hate the haoles and look to point them out. Your comments could be spun off that way too. But bro, you know I'm cool. In fact, I was part of your fraternity for a very, very short time.
In the end, it's all a misinterpretation...
There is alot of hiprocrocity here so far. I suggest we stop this war of words and have a BBQ/meet... so we can patch up our differences and celebrate our similarities, like our passion for our cars.

And now we try to type gramatically correct sentences to create the illusion that we are educated and informed of the dark inner workings of the children of todays' society and their "tuner" cars. Seriously, don't give me that crap about kids racing their cars because the track is closed. They wouldn't go to the track to race EVEN IF it was still open.
Get a life, those hackeneyed phrases from the lore of Hawaii's yesteryear don't even apply to what society has become today. If it REALLY bothered you, you could report it to the police that the car was speeding and swerving recklessly. Instead, you try to post here on an internet forum where half the people on here probably do the same crap every now and then. You expect to get any sympathy from them? Come on now.

This really reminds me of that time I called out that corvette guy out to our SuperLap events. I should of put money up for that, but no one told me I'm a good driver. Just needed to show him that you dont need TT to beat a corvette. But Mike Ward definetly took it for a grain of salt and beat the C5 Z06 with TT and other stuff. So I guess that point goes out the window.
