Default Without my Z for a while and not a good reason at all!

So last night Christy and I were at Joes house for thanksgiving (which was a great time) on our way out we went to get in the Z and go home but when I pushed the clutch in it went straight to the floor and didn't come back up to make a long upsetting story short my Slave cable blew some how without me even ****ing driving! so I had it towed to King windward and they ordered another brand new clutch and slave cable. Which is going to take a week to just get here. so ya I will not be out for toys for tots nor will I be out this thursday I'll see you when its up and running again!

I know how you feel. My car has been at kamu's shop for almost a month, waiting on the parts to come in. Hawaii should make a underwater tunnel leading to california.

hey peter! quick question. do you think that the remote start in your car, has anything to do with what happen with your car?

i was doing my lil research, and what i found is that, if you remote start was install wrong, you clutch will get damage with time! please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but make alot of sense to me. We went to Joe's house with no problem, and you remote start your car from his balcony to show him the alarm. Remember? Then after you clutch is gone for no reason. If i was you, i will check the remote start system just in case!

If he has an '07, it has nothing to do with the remote start. Replacing the clutch and slave cable won't fix the problem either. You need to get the updated slave cylinder and you need to remove the clutch line restrictor. Just replacing the slave alone will NOT fix the problem.

Come check this post out.

I don't know about the whole remote start issue (don't know why we'd need one in Hawaii anyways... not like it gets freezing), but the clutch issue is '07 exclusive (don't know if the '08's are doing it or not yet).

Remote Starter in Hawaii is nice that way when it hot like always we can start the car early and have it already cold inside OR in early mornings before PT its cold so I put the heater on sometimes so it whichever.

I don't think I've ever experienced a cold morning in HI. I'm usually out my house by 0530 and I roll with the windows down. I know it's a little cooler up by Schofield but I still rolled with the windows down every morning when I lived up there. You must be from somewhere HOT.

His wife here:

Actually no, hes from back east where it snows. I'm from Cali. Hawaii is hot....thats why we have our AC on but most of the time my windows are down ...I'm parked and away. My AC is usually off until we're away and we turn it on so when we start my car from a ways, itll be already cool by then especially after his PT at noon then hell drive with the windows down. As far as heat, its not like he keeps it on for five ****ing minutes, its warm by the time he gets to the car so he shuts it off...and go....its jsut a mod in our car...if you have the money go for it, if not...whatever dont find negativities about why someone has a remote start in Hawaii. And being with the ARMY you never know where you PCS too.

Nah, never that. I don't think it's ghey at all. Unnecessary, yes (but that's personal opinion) but ghey, no. I know a lot of people that love their remote start and couldn't live without it, which is fine by me.

Back to the OT... I don't think this was ever clarrified (but hinted at a bit)... the Z is an '07, correct?

If you ordered an aftermarket clutch, who makes it? I was under the impression there wasn't one available yet.
