it's paradise, you got better things to do.
Just to add some info to the above post. Diamond head has some great views at the very top. But not recommended if you haven't exercised in awhile, there are like 100 continous somewhat steep stair steps at the top. I've seen some older tourists come all the way there not realizing that there was stairs at the top. You'll see a few locals run up the trail and back down for exercise. If you're hungry afterwards, Ono's has great food on kapahulu, so does Yama's seafood on Young st., both small places, yama's is more takeout but has great poke and plate lunches. Rainbows is an old classic, chicken cutlet plate with gravy all over, 2 scoops rice, mac salad.... If you're there, might as well stop by Leonards and get some malasadas, or Waiola shave ice, also a Sam Choy's around there too and Sekiya's in kaimuki, not far at all but great saimin. All good eats.

Matsumoto's was amazing, we didn't hit all of the other ice places, but it crushed the others that we did try.
I saw over a dozen modded Z's, including an FI blue Z on Hickam, a white Z with the RMEMBR lic plate, and a horible pair of Z's that I won't describe.....
There were some terrific 240's and old VW's that were modded very well. Certainly a better representaion than NJ typically shows.

The lesbians were a nice bonus. A couple of nice Duo / Trio showing affection in public in bikkini's is a worthwhile sight to see.
It may take a few days to scrub the image of the tranny hookers out of our minds. Not what I had expected to see in china-town.
We did most of the tourist stuff.
Dinner cruise, Atlantis sub, para sail, trip to Big Island and volcano area, Poly culture center. We put on about 1k on the rental and walked endlessly.
There was no good pizza, or italian food for that matter.

The worst Z i've seen in hawaii was at the navy exchange and commisary parking lot. It was that weird K-office kit that had a weird long nose like a carp mouth opening and sides and back like an old celica. It was fugly....

I grew up there, lots to do! for a hauoli stay away from sandy beach & makapuu....you will break your neck! go to Haleiwa get some Matsumoto's shaved ice & get a Kuaina hamburger. Stay away from Ala Moana shopping center, if you have to ask how much you cant afford it! Haunauma bay isnt what it used to be when i was a kid in cub scouts camping there, it sucks now! I would spend all my time on the north short at pipeline watching the waves & checking out the chicks

We did go and find a few things reccomended here, like the Matsumoto's. Zippy's, Big Kahuna Pizza. You guys need an Olive Garden badly, they have the ads on TV there but no damn place to get it.

There was also a black Z with some tailights fresh off the rice truck and an airplane wing on the back.
On the good side, there was a nice Z at schofield barracks (heck of a mountain drive road they have to get there) and some nice subtle modded rides. There was red with a black CF hood and Blue with chrome rims and black CF hood.
