It was a Grey MR looking one. Lots of little cosmetics with gold rims. I mean, it's all good, but i want something in my car to back me up when stuff like this happens. I have no hard feelings for this guy, but i would like a rematch in the future . On the track of course. Maybe at Maui. I don't need a racing ticket, or an injury to someone on the road.

Hmmm... can't say that I know any GG Evos with gold wheels.

Speaking of Maui, my club (club808), the Supra guys and possibly HI-FI are planning on renting MRP in Sep and hopping the Super Ferry over. Maybe the Z guys would want to join... the more, the merrier (and cheaper).

hummmmm like to see how mine does. Haven't ran up on an evo yet. Just got mine back today from another tune. Sonics took out the NGKs and put in Densos..fixed the hipcup at full throttle...last numbers was a consistent 381whp, 310 torque.

I was doing a lot of research in the Nitrous section, and there's A LOT of Z owners running 100-125 shot with stock internals with no problems. Most have progressive controllers, bottle warmers, safety switches, etc.. But everyone is running stock internals. I've already ordered the Nitrous kit, and progressive controller, and now i'm just going to order the misc electronics my next pay day. Then i'm gonna ask Kamu how much to install(if he decides to accept). I will do more research on the valvetrain tonight to see if it's able to handle. Thanks for the $0.02 though. I will take everyone's advice seriously.

the general purpose of nitrous is to increase the amount of o2(like turbo) and bring down intake temps with the nitrogen's cooling effect. with that said the valvetrain should be fine. you only really need to worry about the valvetrain when your shooting for higher rpms. people have made 600whp on a completely stock valvetrain. some other things youll need to thing about is injectors and an engine managment. with the extra o2 youll be adding into the equation youll need to add more fuel. so youll need injectors and a engine managment and tuning. lmk if you want injectors i got 440ccs laying around and my emanage ultimate is still fc. but best of luck with your car.

We don't have a track here. If we did, none of us would be racing on the streets (hopefully, anyways).

HFD, like rr said, you don't need to worry about your valvetrain when running nitrous unless you plan on getting WAY up there in RPMs (like a couple hundred past redline). Also, engine management is a must. I'd personally suggest a UTEC.

just a warning before youve planned this I think all cars will need to be completely legal and go through a inspection in order to get on the superferry.

All I seen is that you have to have all your paperwork up to date (reg, safety, license, etc.) and that the car needs to be relatively clean (free of mud/dirt). It doesn't say anything about an inspection.

I'll find out this month since I'm planning on going to Maui with the wife for a week.

sh*t, sh*t, sh*t.... isn't UTEC around $1K? I know i should tune it to be safe, but there's just so much guys running NOS without EM and having no problems YET. Well, i've already purchased the kit and proggressive controller, so i'm gonna do some digging for EM.

Would i be able to run the 440cc's with my nitrous set up? What about when i'm running stock? Is that what the UTEC is for? Damm, so many questions about this nitrous now. I don't want a blown engine!

ANYONE KNOW SOMEONE WITH NITROUS IN THEIR Z ON OAHU YET?

Oh, and BTW, thanks for your input guys.

Hey bro, you should start reading up here...

https://my350z.com/forum/nitrous-oxide/218158-nitrous-basics-thread-read-here-if-you-want-nitrous-for-the-first-time.html

There's a shitload of info not only in that thread (that specifically recommends the UTEC for nitrous) but in that entire sub-forum. Nitrous is easier than you think to get set up properly.

440cc injectors are good up to approx 440whp. so 440s are enough. youll need an engine management to run the injectors. the utec is the em that most people run on mild builds. it has really good control over timing. the progressive controller just means that when it starts spraying at the user selected point it wont be a full shot until you reach the user selected point at which it becomes a full shot. its more or less a save you money kind of thing so you dont have to refill. i still think emanage ultimate is fine for power levels your shooting for though. lmk ill give you injectors with plug and play clips and the emanage ultimate for 600. gotta get rid of it all already. lol
