sorry guys... looks like my car is not going to be ready in time again. its too bad because this was supposed to be the last show it was entering. well, hopefully i will have all my parts installed on to the skyline for hot import nights this year.

 

Looks like we both havin issues. I just found out today that my AMS hood won't be until the 21st but of course that is when it gets into port....when they off load is another story. I probably wont get the hood until 22 Aug...show starts 22d. We have to be set up starting 0900 on the 21st. Kinda demotivated at this point...I really didn't want to show without the AMS.

I thought of that. The problem is the set up date (21st/0900). They want the cars there at 0900 for proper placement for pre-selected sites. If you come late then you'll get placed in whats left over. Looks like the hood is scheduled to come into port on the 21st....but what time?...could be afternoon. It may not come until the next day (Day of Show) and that depends when they off load, then schedule pickup...etc. I dont want the hassle of bringing a hood to the blasdale and taking off the old one the day of show or day after..etc. If for some fluke...it comes tomorrow, then cool....which according to Aloha Frieght...that probably aint happening.

But there is another issue. I knew there was something about the 21st that was important. I just looked at the ticket I got on the 6th of July Recon Raid, my court date is at 0930 for the little Hyper white park light bulbs..no telling how long I'll be there. So, I'll be late for set up, no hood....nothings going in my favor at this point.

if it comes down to where you dont have a hood, i will let you borrow my asuka one. just let me know if you need it and i will let you borrow it for the show.

Hey, thanks for the offer and I appreciate it, but I'm real **** about borrowing other guys property...especially for a show. Its like getting props on something that dosen't belong to you or your hard work... but someone elses. The Asuka is a beautiful hood but its not mine...and a product of your hard work. Plus, I would have to give it back.


Thanks. Carlos offered to drive my car to set up then I come after. We could put the hood on if it gets here during the show....I'm contemplating the idea. May work.
