Um... WOW!!! $17,000 for an R1. GOD DAYUM MAN!!! I had a chance to buy an Aprillia RSV 1000 Factory with all carbon skins for $17,500. I think you might have been taken for a longer ride than you had the bike. MSRP on a NEW R1 is arround $12,000.

it sounds more like you got raped not hit on, i have bought 3 bikes in the past year and none of the warrentys were that much

 

No. You got full popped. You got raped. Believe me, your salesman was talking to his co-workers about you and how you just made his car payment AND THEN SOME that month after you left the store.

I have to ask though, why are you even bothering with trying to sell the bike on a Z board for a price no one in their right mind would pay when you supposedly own

To me, someone with that much scrilla would do one of two things.

1. Cancel the warranty and get your money back from that, then sell the bike for $9k to get rid of it quickly? Yes you'll take a hit, but for $9k you'll be able to quickly get rid of a bike you apparently have no desire to ride anymore and clear up some space in your garage.

2. Cancel insurance on the bike and garage it. If you sell it now, you'll lose a fat chunk of change no matter what, so why not just hold on to it for the time being until you figure out what to do with it.

 

i don't mind selling it for 10.5k if someone wanted it. i only put 12k because that is what i thought it was worth.
