I also have travel notes from my trips there.
"hawaii matsumotos ice, para sail, china town, sub is waste dinner cruise fair, polynesian cultural center, view from top of mountain, aloha statium flee market, hookers with *****' and cops, 50% jap tourist, rent a car, bellows, hale koa mill restort hotel, cemetyry"
I will fill them out so you know what I am talking about.
matsumotos shaved ice, they are on the North Shore and are outstanding. You Must go there and get a shaved ice, I suggest a multi flavor combo.
Para sailing makes for a nice time, get discounts from your hotel.
the sub ride is crap
a dinner cruise "to spot the whales" is decent. (again, get a discount from the hotel.
The Polynesian Cultural Center...get a discount from the hotel and go there for the shows and dinner. The main guy is extremely entertaining...you will see him on all the posters...he is built like a wrestler so you can't miss him.
aloha stadium flea market, go there and buy your Tshirts and gifts...also a good place to buy a cheap bit of luggage to take the stuff home. Maccademea nuts are also a must...with chocolate coating.
Be wary of transvestite hookers and cop hookers. If you keep a sharp eye out you will see what I mean.
There is a hooters on the beach in waikiki, go there to watch the broads as they are top notch.
There is a cemetary you must go to...it has a giant temple in it well worth seeing.
It is NOT the "national cemetary" but if you end up at that one they will give you directions to the good one.
Here is a picture to temp you.
