haha I'll get the pics up. I'm waiting for the Z to be officially gone.

And like I said, once the Lotus is fully up and running, I'll bring her out for a show and tell.

Hey Stephen. The Z actually sold locally, so no need. A call to chat about the Lotus would be good though.

Hey Joe, congradulations on the new purchase, I am more than sure you are going to enjoy her. About the Z, I was referring to SILK cause I know he is about to ship out soon, but I think it was a shame you got rid of the Z, she was definitely a beauty. No worries though, I am more than sure the Lotus is suiting you quite well.

I LOL'd so hard when I saw your ad and the comments about the JLines (that you bought from my friend). I can't believe some of the things people try to BS, this island is small man.

What are you even talking about? I did buy them from Jason. They were custom made for him. Jline does not disclose offsets and there is no "set" offset. They are very expensive. Ask any vendor on the forum. I don't know why you are saying I BSed anyone. You are out of line IMHO. I didn't misrepresent a thing.

They were custom made for him - NO.
Jline does not disclose offsets - did I say anything to the contrary?
They are very expensive - they are, if you aren't the 3rd owner and you lowballed him anyway.
Ask any vendor on the forum - why?

Don't know why I'm saying you BSed anyone? -

The offset is +12 front and rear. I've added spacers and it currently sits at +4 mm front and +9 mm rear.
Jline doesn't disclose offsets to customers yet you know offsets? Yeah, you could've busted out a tape measure I suppose, but then you continue with...

The JLine rims are custom made for each car to the owner's specs. Believe me that they will set you back some serious cash.
I'm not sure what you're intentions were, but it seems to me like a seller trying to justify an asking price by saying this particular set of JLines were expensive... well, we both know that this wasn't the case.

This is my response. I don't know you personally, and have no reason to bash you so I hope you don't think thats what I'm trying to do. You said I was out of line so I'm just responding to that. In any case, cograts on having owned such a nice z, on the sale, and on the elise.

I don't know you either, but your post came off as a d1ck thing to say.

You don't know what you are talking about. Jason said he was the only owner and they were made for him (he ordered them direct from JLine and they took 4 months to get here). I don't know where you get that I'm the third owner. So, either he lied or you are wrong. I didn't lowball him. He approached me about buying the rims. I didn't approach him. I still have the PMs. Including price (where he said they ran him $3,600 before tires). I offered him $200 less than his asking and I didn't want the springs he was including with the rim/tire asking price. Kind of a wash. I've always been up front that I was the second owner.

JLine doesn't disclose offsets. I DID measure and had a shop remeasure. Sorry. You made a wrong assumption.

haha You think I was asking that much because of the rims? Maybe you missed the part about the 2008 Z with 1,400 miles on it or the part that it had a $4,000 suspension... or the part about the $1,000 exhaust... or the part about the $3,000 in body work (kit, diffuser, spoiler, etc.). Wait, that's $8,000 in parts plus a car that is practically brand new and it doesn't include a bunch of parts. I was completely honest with the buyer and provided all receipts with the car. Oh and did I mention I didn't pay a premium for the rims because two of the tires were toast and the third had a puncture? I replaced two tires and fixed a leak in the third... then had to repolish all the rims because they are bare aluminum and were badly oxidized.

I'm done dragging up a dead thread to point out why you are mistaken. Like I said, I still have the PMs if you'd like to see them. Maybe Jason lied to me if what you're saying is true. Either way, this thread should be locked. No offense to you and none taken. I just don't take kindly to people calling me out and not know the story.

Oh trust me, I know exactly what I am talking about. And really, your car is sold and great for you, but your suspension and other mods dont really mean ****. You should be done dragging up old threads, because all you do is continue to point out how I am not mistaken.

I think we both proved our points... My point: getting a laugh out of your ad (which sold already - so no need to get butt hurt), saying it'll set you back big $$ when you know it didn't set you back ****. Your point: You weren't trying to BS anyone, even with what seems like an obvious seller's ploy in the ad.

Anyway, enjoy the elise and have a good life. Bye.

*Removed my comment*

Look, there is no need for drama in our small a$$ community. I wasn't trying to imply I spent a lot on the rims. Just that they were nice rims (aka not knock-offs). I stand by my comment. I never said it cost ME big money. I said to buy JLine rims, it'll cost you. At $900 a rim new, I think that is accurate. Sorry if it came off wrong and sorry for being quick to argue with you. Thanks for the well wishes. Have a good day.

Joe
