Hey all, as the header says, I'm wondering if these latches will work with the stock hood latch or will I have to shave the hook off of the center hood and soley rely on the hood latch? I believe someone here has them already, just can't remember which of the many Z's do....and no this is not a premenition of things to come, just basic curiousity from a simple asian car guy....who owns a Z....yea...anyways any help would be appreciated!!!

They are just like any other style hood pin system in this regard. You can keep your center latch and just use them for added safety. For more detailed info:

I have them on my hood, and I use them in conjunction with the OEM hood latch. More for peace-of-mind, and as an added layer of protection.
