Need camera help (Exilim EX-Z850) No flash!
I can't find my instruction booklet so I'm hoping someone can help me.
My camera is less than 6 months old first of all. It won't take a picture with the setting on Autoflash or any of the flash functions. It is only working when I turn the flash off.
So... is the flash burnt out or something? I don't get it. And yeah, I'm blonde and not good with electronics so
in advance.

The instruction manual is available for download here:

Page 262 of the manual details the indicator lamps. Is the red lamp on your camera constantly lit or does it flash?

am not fimilar with your camera, but in some low end cameras(i dont know anything about yours)..
If the camera is set to use Macro, and the flash is on it will not take a picture because the flash can washout the image.
The manual Iggman was able to find might mention this

According to the manual (pg. 262):
If the red light is flashing four times per second, the flash is charging. It could also mean low battery (your battery is adequately charged, right?).
If the red light is flashing once per second, the flash cannot charge.
So, it sounds like there might actually be something wrong with your flash. Hopefully, someone else will offer some additional advice.
