Macro Lens?
extension tubes would be the cheapest route.
if you want a dedicated macro lens, on a budget, Tamron 90mm
if you want to spend just a little more, Canon 100mm
granted, there are other ones but it depends what focal length you'd choose depending on what you plan on shooting.

May I suggest the Sigma 50mm f2.8 or any of Sigma's 1:1 macro lenses. I'm getting that 50mm next. Best of all, it's only $238.35 at Amazon. I like Amazon to B&H now, because you can send back stuff and Amazon will take care of the shipping if you have an issue, plus the prices are the cheapest around.
