i was playing around with the camera last night and i had some low light photos come out clear shooting down to 1/15 of a sec, even some at 1/12 and 1/10. ill have to play around in some brighter situations to see if im really that stable (since that was pushing the limit of under-exposure). seemed pretty low to me, but they came out pretty clearly.

also, i cant remember exactly, isnt the rule of thumb that you can generally hand hold to about 1/64th of a second?

so far im already really digging the camera . i had one really cool shot that i accidentally deleted . i set the camera on the table, with a shutter speed of what i think was 6 seconds, opened the shutter, then put a beer bottle in front of it. it resulted in a ghost image of the beer bottle that i thought was pretty cool
The rule of thumb you are talking about says that you can usually handhold at anything faster than 1/focal length. So if you were shooting at 50mm, the slowest shutter speed you could hand-hold without blur would be 1/50s. Of course this is just a rough rule, everyone's different in how steady their hands are.
