I have a subscription to Popular photo... although most of the "how to" articles are posted on their online site: www.popphoto.com. I like PopPhoto over Shutterbug. The online ZINIO digital subscription is 12 issues for $12 if you feel wasting paper is detrimental to trees.

The best magazines though, are the British mags that like Digital Phtographer that are about $10+ an issue... but I think it's worth it.

BUT, I MUST SAY THIS... if you havn't read any of my posts about what you NEED TO READ... pick up the book: Light, Science & Magic. Do not read anything or take another shot before you read this.... PERIOD!

I picked up John Shaw's Close-ups in Nature, and another with a title that escapes me (I'll add the title when I get home from work)...great books for improving Macro techniques.

I pick up the occasional photography magazine if there is an article that looks interesting.
