Default My yard pic

Went out side and try to do a HDR of the clouds today. I though I would share it and see what you guys have to say about it.

BTW any pointers on how to take pic of lightning at night?

Set your camera to "bulb", select a small aperture for greater DOF and point your camera to where you think the lightning will strike. In bulb mode, the shutter will stay open for as long as you hold the shutter button down. As soon as the lightning disappears, let go the shutter button.

The exposure will only be as good as how long you hold the shutter down. But no matter what, the lightning will be clear, as it's a bright light source against a dark background. The longer you hold the shutter, obviously, the sky will be lighter. A bit of experimentation will be needed to see what results will occur with the corresponding shutter time.

Also, don't forget your tripod.
