Default First Time User DSLR, Tell me what You Think

I know these arent of a 350Z or G35, I apologize. I borrowed my friends camera for the day and went on a photoshoot around the local lake. These are some of my favorites. Tell me what you think

All but two pictures were taken in shadow - the white balance seems off a bit and the exposures don't look right either. The colors looks subdued either because of that lighting or a setting. Use a shallow depth of field to blur out distracting backgrounds like that well lit home in the first picture. Focus looks soft in several pictures.

You're driving on the wrong side of the road!

I do like the first picture but for the background. That could be done in photoshop with ease.

thanks Paul350Z. i didnt use photoshop on any of these. thanks for the input though. is the shallow depth of field a setting on the camera?
