hey guys...i need a lil help here

i did a search on this camera but only found 2 posts about it and nothing that really answered my questions...

well my point and shoot camera took a sh*t on me lastnight and wont even turn on anymore (dnno y cuz it never gave me trouble) so now i kinda need a new camera but i deff wana step up to a better camera...im new to the DSLR's but i want to learn and iv heard this is a good camera to start on...great price and will take way better pics then my coolpix s5 haha

my queston is, is this a good camera? or would it be a waste of my money?

not sure about pentax, but i would recommend get ether nikon or cannon, as they are bigger company, more people use them, and more parts available ex. lens (i could be wrong)

 

well i went ahead and bought it...i found it for only 569.00 so i bought that, a case, and a memory card...as soon as it gets here ( im deployed in the middle east right now ) im going to snap a few pics and post them..

 

More people might use C or N brands, but Pentax allows you to use any lens ever made in any of the K mounts, can't say that of Canon or Nikon. Plus Pentax has the advantage of putting the Stablization in the body not on the lenses.
