Default CANON EOS REBEL

I bought one of these off Craigslist for a good price as a Gift... Bought form a nice guy.. Came with bag/lil tripod/batteries/lens.. and Bag.. Everything in good condition... For some reason when pictures are taken they dont come out like I would expect.. Come out kind of smokey.. Not very clear and crisp like I would expect when buying a camera like this.. What could be causing this???

Pulled this Pic offline.. same Camera I have.....

Are you familiar with SLR's at all? You should try cleaning your lens/sensor. You should also check all of your settings like white balance. And what do you mean by smokey? just kinda hazy or out of focus? If it's hazy you probably have some moisture in your lens, borrow another lens from someone and see if that resolves it.

to be honest.. I bought it for my girl.. She been wanting one of these photography cameras for awhile so I just bought one I found for a good deal.. So yah I seen some of the pics she took and they just look like some normal throw away camera pics.. But I will do what you said.... Read up on it abit and see if thats the issue... Thanks for the tip -_^

Is she shooting in Auto or a creative zone shooting? I want to think she is shooting in something other than auto but I could be wrong. Is it possible to post pictures that she took including the histogram so we can see what settings she used that would def help us help you also.
