These are a few of my first shots with a "macro" set-up. Decided to mess around with a reverse mounted Quantaray 28mm f/2.8 at first before I drop $$ on an actual macro lens.

That is impressive, do you have pics or links to what you used to make the reverse mount? This is a great option for someone who wants to adapt a lens instead of buying an entirely new macro lens!

The lens..
Reverse mount adapter..
Lens with reverse mount adapter..
Cheap extension tubes from eBay..
Extension tubes on the lens..
What the sensor sees..
Anthony, that's a really nice shot! Maybe one day soon I will have an actual macro lens to play with. Would really like to invest in an MPE-65!

Hey I had to run to work so I didn't have time to get any good pictures, or any pictures of the lens on my camera. But here are a few pics of what I used..

Don't mind at all. The lens was $15 + shipping on eBay and the reverse mount ring was about $6 shipped I believe. Definitely a good investment for the price. Just be sure you get an older lens with manual aperture adjustment and the filter size on the reverse mount adapter is the same size as the lens (ex: 52mm, 67mm, etc.).
