Ever shot rolling shots during mid day while trying to achieve shallow DOF? When you do and see a blank white image on your screen, dont worry that's normal.

I could have, but I cant replicate what a lens could do. Therefore it looks really fake.

Well then your only other option would to be adding a couple ND filters so you could open up more to keep the same shutter
