Oh my mistake. I used to live in norfolk and va beach myself. Pops was stationed at little creek? i think thats what it was called, i was pretty young. I used to love going to langley. I got to tour the eisenhower and sleep on a couple destroyers but i dont remember the names, ill ask him later.

Little Creek is correct. I'm a west coast sailor and I miss SoCal. It is a huge difference and I can't wait to go back.
Destroyers have better accommodations than a carrier (except having to sleep with a seat belt).Langley is cool as hell. I go running there and I love being able to hear the planes take off and land. I usually work on planes, but I needed a platform change so I can move up to the next rank.
So you should be familiar with this shot
It is flying over Fort Monroe, the Army base next to Langley which is where that Raptor is fly from. They fly over me when I run, they are AWESOME!!!

Small world. My dad was stationed at Little Creek too. He was on the USS John C. Stennis until he retired in 2000.
