Like everyone elses comments the exposure is just a tad too high.. but probably very fixable if you shot in RAW..

i couldnt open up anymore without blowing it out, i darkened it quite a bit i pp. i think the only way i could get a better DOF is if i would have stepped back and used all 200mm of zoom
I'm willing to bet that your subject is probably sharpest at f7-8 on that lens just like many other lenses... true that you'll prolly get less DOF but sharper subject is valid a reason to use a higher f-stop..
