Default Different screens different results?

I’ve noticed that once I’m completed editing pictures on my laptop and I go to view them on another computer/monitor the lighting or colors aren’t the same. How are people getting around this?

I use Huey on my pc. It works reasonably well. Now I need to get my output to my printer calibrated correctly too.

One of the first things I did when I got my MBP was download a few color profiles that other people with the same screen type (LG 9C84) have calibrated with Huey, Spyder2Pro, Eye One, etc. and chose the one I thought looked best.
