Default Nikon D3000?

Hey guys, what do you think of this deal?

Best Buy deal

From Best Buy it is the D3000, plus a 55-200 lense and bag for $750.

Definitely a photography newb. I feel like I take good shots with a point and shoot, but never really got in to the tecnical aspect. I am signing up for a continuing education class at a local community college as well on how to use a SLR as well as a composition class. Thoughts?

You can get the body only for full retail at $560.

That 55-200mm lens strikes me as a bad one as its 82mm at its widest making it too tight for most indoor work and not good for capturing wide expanses. A better lens would be an 18mm to 105mm or even 200mm. The 18mm is equal to a 27mm wide angle lens and is perfect for many situations.

I saw a deal on one of the deal sites for $560 for the body and an 18-105mm lens ... but couldn't find it hunting around this morning for you.
