Default Just picked up a nikon d700

Got rid of my Canon Rebel and picked up a Nikon D700. So far i love the camera. The pics in the day are beautiful. Only thing im having trouble with is the night photography. I have alot of noise issues for some reason. I have tried everything. Anybody know whats wrong?

Here is a recent shot i took the other day of a friend's 350Z.

The problem is you got a Nikon! haha j/k congrats on your purchase. What ISO levels are you shooting at night? Get a good tripod and you shouldn't have to bump the ISO up. I'm not sure if the D700 has it but my 5D Mark ii has the ability to go down to ISO 50 for long exposure shots.

I had a tripod and shot at all different levels of ISO. still came out extremely dark or too much noise.

What is your shutter speed at? I use long shutter speed to take in a bunch on light, of course with a tripod.

And the lowest ISO the D700 goes to is ISO100.

Anyway, congrats on the camera. You got a good one

i'm surprised that you're getting alot of noise with it, d700 has lower noise than anything canon makes

Definitely an improvement. Just try not to do angles that will break necks.
